We wanted to take things slow to allow for better meditation - one chapter a day covering every major division of the Bible. We staggered the order as well in order to keep things fresh. We have chosen a book from the Torah, historical books, the poetic writings, and the Prophets from the Old Testament. And, in the New Testament we have a Gospel, Pauline epistle, Hebrews, and the Revelation.

In the Beginning: A Study in Genesis 37-50

How do we respond when God promises to do something in our lives that naturally seems impossible? Do we respond by making “back-up” plans in case God doesn’t come through? Do we believe for a certain time and then give up hope because it didn’t happen within our timeframe?  In this plan we look at the life and faith of Abraham.

As its name implies, Genesis is a book of beginnings. The beginning of the world, the beginning of the line of Abraham, and the beginning of God's covenantal relationship with his people are all recorded in Genesis. Although filled with the sin, rebellion, and the chronic unfaithfulness of His people, God consistently demonstrates his covenantal faithfulness to bring about salvation and redemption for all who have faith in Him.
