Galatians 2:10
Galatians 2:6-10 The Message (MSG)
As for those who were considered important in the church, their reputation doesn’t concern me. God isn’t impressed with mere appearances, and neither am I. And of course these leaders were able to add nothing to the message I had been preaching. It was soon evident that God had entrusted me with the same message to the non-Jews as Peter had been preaching to the Jews. Recognizing that my calling had been given by God, James, Peter, and John—the pillars of the church—shook hands with me and Barnabas, assigning us to a ministry to the non-Jews, while they continued to be responsible for reaching out to the Jews. The only additional thing they asked was that we remember the poor, and I was already eager to do that.
Galatians 2:10 American Standard Version (ASV)
only they would that we should remember the poor; which very thing I was also zealous to do.
Galatians 2:10 King James Version (KJV)
Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
Galatians 2:10 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
They only asked us to remember the poor—the very thing I also was eager to do.
Galatians 2:10 New Century Version (NCV)
The only thing they asked us was to remember to help the poor—something I really wanted to do.
Galatians 2:10 New International Version (NIV)
All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.
Galatians 2:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.
Galatians 2:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
They asked only [one thing], that we remember the poor, the very thing I was also eager to do.
Galatians 2:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
Their only suggestion was that we keep on helping the poor, which I have always been eager to do.
