2 Corinthians 1:20
2 Corinthians 1:20-22 The Message (MSG)
Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us. By his Spirit he has stamped us with his eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what he is destined to complete.
2 Corinthians 1:20 King James Version (KJV)
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 New Century Version (NCV)
The yes to all of God’s promises is in Christ, and through Christ we say yes to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 1:20 American Standard Version (ASV)
For how many soever be the promises of God, in him is the yea: wherefore also through him is the Amen, unto the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 New International Version (NIV)
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 1:20 New King James Version (NKJV)
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 1:20 New Living Translation (NLT)
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
