John 2:15-16

Being a “man of God” can be tough. Being a “young man of God” can be even tougher. This devotional will focus on the three areas in which young men are most frequently tempted: their Ways (i.e., temper), their Words (i.e., language), and their Wants (i.e., physical and emotional desires). It will also discuss the appropriate Biblical response(s) to maintaining self-control and moral purity in the face of such temptations.

Few things spark greater anger than a betrayal. And carrying the pain and trauma with you can ignite an unquenchable resentment that leaves you hopeless and despondent. When you’re overcome with bitterness, you need to know there is a God who understands and can help reconcile your pain. This plan will help you understand your anger and how to extinguish it with peace.

This plan pulls lessons from John 2:15.This verse details the moment Jesus scattered merchants from the temple courtyard who took advantage of travelers who came to offer sacrifices in the temple. We partner with God in driving out and scattering the obstacles that distract us from becoming bodily temples of unceasing prayer/communion with God and that interfere with the fullness of Christ being expressed in our lives.
