Good Questions: Do We Have a Choice?

DÍA 2 DE 7

Do We Have A Burden For Those Who Don’t Know Jesus?

Have you ever been so burdened for someone who doesn’t know Jesus that you would give up your salvation for them? In Romans 9, Paul expresses this kind of heartache for his Jewish brothers and sisters who have not accepted Jesus as the Messiah. Paul’s love for his people is evident in his words, as he says that he would be willing to give up his own salvation if it meant that the Jews would be saved. This is a powerful and selfless love.

In this moment, Paul’s heart is filled with unceasing anguish for those who do not know Jesus. This is the same Paul who wrote about joy and rejoicing in the Lord, yet he is consumed with a deep sense of grief in this moment. His heart is aching for those who do not know Christ’s love. It is easy to get caught up in debates about theology and doctrine, but at the end of the day, our desire should be for lost people to come to know Jesus as their Savior.

As Christians, we should have deep compassion for those who are lost and in need of salvation. We should be willing to give up our own comfort and security if it means that someone else will come to know Jesus’ love. How often are you willing to sacrifice your comforts for someone else? Our hearts should break for those who do not yet know the Redeemer prophesied throughout the Old Testament, the Jewish Messiah, Jesus.

Christianity is not anti-Semitic. Our hearts should be filled with love and compassion for the Jewish people, just as Paul’s heart was. We should pray for their salvation and share the gospel with them in a way that is respectful and honoring of their culture and heritage.

So, I ask you: do you have a burden for lost people? Do you care about those who do not know Christ? If you are reading this and you do not know Jesus, know that my primary desire is for you to come to know Him. He is the Jewish Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament, the Redeemer of all who put their trust in Him. Don’t wait any longer to accept the free gift of salvation He offers you right now.
