In this reading plan we will look at Isaiah 9 and learn about the Christmases Corrie ten Boom celebrated in her childhood; before wartime and in concentration camp Ravensbrück 1944. Corrie wrote about these Christmases herself in ‘Corrie’s Christmas Memories’ (1976).

Aunque la Navidad es una temporada festiva, y las horas del reloj avanzan a un ritmo diferente, un tiempo donde nos parece que todo se envuelve en una atmósfera especial que nos hace sentir que el aire es más fresco, y ver que las hojas de los árboles adquieren un brillo especial, y las estrellas parpadean con una luz diferente que nos inspiran a capturar destellos de eternidad.

La Navidad trata de celebrar a Jesús. Celebrar esa noche especial en la que nació nuestro Salvador. En este devocional te invito a que puedas abrir tu corazón a Jesús y a tener la certeza de que Él es la esperanza que todo el mundo siente, la luz de un nuevo día y la paz que sobrepasa todo entendimiento.

For some, Christmas time can be full of grief, tragedy, hurt, and division. Yet Christmas celebrates that God became a human and stepped right into the middle of our hurting, angry, chaotic world to bring us peace—peace among people and, even more importantly, peace with God. Join us this Advent season in looking at the peace brought by Christ.

So often, the holidays come and go before we have a chance to focus on preparing our hearts for Christmas. Advent is our way of remembering that God came to be with us, is still with us, and will come again. Over the next 5 days, we’ll examine the four Advent themes: hope, peace, love, and joy.

Este devocional te lleva a conocer al Mesías en siete días. Te presenta desde su unción hasta su papel como Salvador. Se destaca como Admirable Consejero, Dios Fuerte, Padre Eterno y Príncipe de Paz, ofreciendo dirección, protección y paz a quienes lo aceptan. Él es la respuesta a las necesidades más profundas del ser humano.

Al menos una vez al año, se invita a  los cristianos a evocar la oración de Jesús para sus discípulos: «para que todos sean uno; [...]; para que el mundo crea [...]» (véase Juan 17,21).  Las Iglesias del Caribe fueron elegidas para  redactar el borrador de los materiales para la Semana de Oración por la  Unidad de los Cristianos 2018.
