Sermon on the Mount: Wealth and Worry

Think of your attention like a light. Wherever you set your attention, that’s where your focus will be. What we focus on is what shapes our imagination and where we invest our time. In this video, Jesus is urging his followers to focus on the things that last—which he calls “sky stuff”—and Jesus warns that our possessions will act like masters demanding our attention, distracting us from what really matters leaving us only with worry. How do we move through life and keep our attention (what he will also call our “concerns”) simple and focused? Jesus offers a way forward.
