An Exemplary Life
In today’s hectic world, people are stressed due to packed schedules, targets to be met and fast approaching deadlines. People lose their cool, and the resultant frustration leads them to whine about things and individuals around them.
At times like these, I wonder how Jesus was able to remain cool and composed in the most heated situations. How He slept during a violent storm, which threatened to capsize the boat in which He slept. How He remained undaunted in His mission, to die for the sins of the world. How He gracefully embraced a shameful death on the cross and even forgave His accusers.
The Scriptures have the answer. It has to do with Jesus’ upbringing. The Word of God says that Jesus grew in stature and the knowledge of Scripture. He set an exemplary precedent. We, too, when challenged by various hardships, should increase in the knowledge of God. The Word of God is an inexhaustible fuel to our soul.
Jesus is the Word of God. As we deepen our relationship with Him, we will behave like Him. He becomes our inspiration and motivation. We abound in all grace before adversaries and persecutors. We are recognized as peace makers and all glory goes to the Father in heaven. What a privilege it is to know the one and only Savior, and to walk in close communion with Him.
Prayer
Lord, let me be focused on You and all the things around me will become mere shadows. Let the light of Christ so shine through me that it dispels all darkness. May my words always be gracious and seasoned with salt. Amen.

About this Plan
It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being. We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
