The reality of our identitySample

The reality of our identity

DAY 7 OF 7

To Him be all the glory

God gave us His mind, His spirit. He gave us His life, His works, His power, His glory, His kingdom, and His Son. What part did we have in this? None.  All this comes from Him, and that is why we can say, “To Him be all the glory.” There is nothing in which you and I can glory. In the life of the spirit, God is the Author and Finisher, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. God is the whole of our lives. He is our strength, power, our reason for being, our center, purpose, origin, and goal; He is all in all.

What we must do is learn to walk in this glorious, wonderful life full of purpose.  Though our feelings do not guide us, we are moved by the greatness that God has prepared for us to enjoy.

Therefore, it is time to reveal ourselves and live as children of God, with the dignity of children of God. We know that we were called and predestined for this; we cannot live without Him. We must abandon ourselves in His hands. Doing so is like being in a river; we must go with the current and not against it. Walking in God’s eternal purpose is necessary for us to learn how to fulfill it more effectively.

God longs for us to be successful, to be prosperous, and to do well. Everything we long for in our hearts, God longs for it too, but sometimes we try to do obtain these things alone, without God. We must recognize that we can only accomplish God’s purposes when we allow Him to work through us, knowing that this is what we were born for, what we live for, and what we are called to walk for the rest of our lives. We were called to be children of God.

Today, I encourage you to abandon all plans to live bound to religion and works. Instead, seek out and live the glorious and wonderful life of those who have faith in Christ. We are not building a religion. Rather, we seek to build up the children of God, so that they can walk out the purpose of their existence.
