Would you like to get to know others better? The River Church is committed to helping others grow in their faith and developing deeper connections with others. Our small groups are a great way to do this. We have groups for all ages and stages of life. They meet at different days and times to help provide an opportunity that can fit your schedule.

TODAY - VBS Volunteer Meeting
If you have already signed up to volunteer at VBS then please mark your calendars for July 9. Immediately after the 11:00 service, we will be having our big VBS volunteers meeting. Lunch will be provided, as can childcare if needed. Lunch will be provided for volunteers AND their children. Please make every effort to attend this meeting as crucial information will be shared to help us have the most effective, fun, and safe Vacation Bible School possible!
July 12th - Joy Group
This is a group of active middle-agers and senior adults, singles or couples, who gather monthly from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. to enjoy their God-given life through Christian fellowship, education, and occasional activities of service to our church and community. Dessert, Coffee, Tea, and water will be served. If you are interested in this group contact Doug & Debbie Pierson at 607-793-0118.
July 23rd - Outdoor Service and Baptisms
Weather permitting, we will have an outdoor service and baptisms on Sunday, July 23rd at 10:00 a.m. Invite friends and family and don't forget to bring your lawn chairs!
If you are ready to publicly celebrate your commitment to Christ and be baptized in obedience to God, we want to help you do that! July 23rd - River Fest
We will be hosting a free event for the community on July 23rd at 6:00 p.m. We will have food, live music, games, inflatables, a game truck, face painting, AND hot air balloon rides! This is a great opportunity for you to invite friends, co-workers, and neighbors! For ways to get involved at River Fest, go to HitTheRiver.com/Events. July 29th - Men's Pancake Breakfast
All men (15 & up) of the River are invited to a Pancake Breakfast. Join us at 8:00 a.m. for a time of food, fellowship and special speakers. Pastor Brad Mitchell and Dr. Matt Stone will be leading this time together. This is a free event and a great opportunity to invite other men to join you! Sign up at HitTheRiver.com/events.
August 2nd - Mobile Blood Drive

August 8th - River 101

Interested in joining the Garden & Landscaping group?
If you are interested in occasionally helping beautify the River flower and shrub beds this group is for you! We are looking for people interested in weeding, pruning, and general light landscaping help a few times during Spring and Summer. We also are hoping to start a small community herb garden for members to enjoy! If you are interested in joining or have questions please contact Leslie@hittheriver.com.
River Kids & River Youth
July 11th - Tween Book Club Launch Party
We are excited to offer a new Tween Book Club for all girls going into 4th-8th grade. They will meet on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:00 in our River Library loft. Mrs. Wednesday Oster will be facilitating the group for the girls. There is a Launch party on Tuesday, July 11th at 6:30 to meet everybody, enjoy snacks and talk about the first book selection and activity ideas. Girls are welcome to invite friends that don't attend the River. If you would like to attend the launch party and come check it out please email Leslie@hittheriver.com to rsvp or ask any questions.
July 27th - River Youth Day Trip to Kings Island
This Day Trip to King's Island is a chance for students to take an entire day to explore all of King's Island! We will start off the day by meeting at the park entrance, and work our way throughout the park. Students must make sure to bring their park pass, or provide $50 so the church can purchase a pass for each student. In addition, if students want to, they can bring a packed lunch, or they can bring money for food. The River Youth will be providing food for dinner from LaRosas. We will all then meet outside of King's Island at 8 pm for parent pickup. Register by clicking the link below or going to HitTheRiver.com/Events.

Interested in joining our Coffee team? Coffee team members come a little early on Sunday mornings to set up and make coffee.
