Welcome to Grace Chapel! The brutal death of Christ was part of God’s plan. He never lost control, hope, or power, yet He used His sovereign control to provide a way for sinners to be saved. When we understand the sad details of Jesus death, we can better understand the glorious love He displayed by fulfilling God’s mission to save us.

The SETTING of the Crucifixion. (vs. 17-18, 20, 23, 26-27, 31)
Christ completed the Father’s mission and displayed ultimate SACRIFICIAL love.
The NATURE of the Crucifixion. (vs. 7, 20, 31)
Christ fulfilled the Old Testament promises and proved He is the only RELIABLE Savior.
The IRONY of the Crucifixion. (vs. 19, 23-24)
Christ stood in as our LEGAL SUBSTITUTION to pay our moral debts and rule over our enemies.
The SIGNIFICANCE of the Crucifixion. (Romans 3:25, 4:25, Hebrews 9:13-15)
Christ endured the wrath of God so that we may ENJOY the love of God.
THIS WEEK I WILL:
- Spend time in prayer while praying through John 19 and thanking God for Christ’s sacrifice.
- Share the Gospel with someone else, highlighting that Christ saved me from the wrath of God so I can enjoy the love of God.
- Memorize Romans 3:23–25.
- Evaluate my life to see where I am living calloused to the Gospel and pray for God to soften my heart and help me change my actions.

- Share the Gospel with someone else, highlighting that Christ saved me from the wrath of God so I can enjoy the love of God.
