Loopholes - ways around the rules that technically don’t break the rules
-We find loopholes in rules that are inconvenient to what we want to do and how we want to live

Jesus did not get angry when He didn’t get his way, He got angry when religion got in the way.
When TRADITIONS become a RULE, then Jesus isn’t able to rule!
Following Jesus is not about rules, it’s about a relationship.
Recognize the intention of a tradition, but keep focus on Jesus’ heart.
We find loopholes in rules that are inconvenient to what we want to do and how we want to live.
How close can I get to the rules without actually breaking the rules?
Is there a ritual that makes you right with God while removing your responsibility to make things right with people?
“The gospel does not say, “the good are in and the bad are out,” nor “the open-minded are in and the judgmental are out.”
The gospel says the humble are in and the proud are out.
The gospel says the people who know they’re not better, not more open-minded, not more moral than anyone else, are in, and the people who think they’re on the right side of the divide are most in danger.”
Jesus the King

I SOLEMNLY PLEDGE to dedicate my life to the service of humanity;
THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF MY PATIENT will be my first consideration;
I WILL RESPECT the autonomy and dignity of my patient;
I WILL MAINTAIN the utmost respect for human life;
I WILL NOT PERMIT considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient;
I WILL RESPECT the secrets that are confided in me, even after the patient has died;
I WILL GIVE to my teachers, colleagues, and students the respect and gratitude that is their due;
I WILL NOT USE my medical knowledge to violate human rights and civil liberties, even under threat;
I MAKE THESE PROMISES solemnly, freely, and upon my honor.
