Hebrews 1:13-14
Hebrews 1:13-14 The Message (MSG)
And did he ever say anything like this to an angel? Sit alongside me here on my throne Until I make your enemies a stool for your feet. Isn’t it obvious that all angels are sent to help out with those lined up to receive salvation?
Hebrews 1:13-14 King James Version (KJV)
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews 1:13-14 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
But to which of the angels has He ever said, “SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET”? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
Hebrews 1:13-14 New Century Version (NCV)
And God never said this to an angel: “Sit by me at my right side until I put your enemies under your control.” All the angels are spirits who serve God and are sent to help those who will receive salvation.
Hebrews 1:13-14 American Standard Version (ASV)
But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?
Hebrews 1:13-14 New International Version (Anglicised) (NIVUK)
To which of the angels did God ever say, ‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’? Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Hebrews 1:13-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
Hebrews 1:13-14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
But to which of the angels has the Father ever said, “SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND [together with me in royal dignity], UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET [in triumphant conquest]”? [Ps 110:1] Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out [by God] to serve (accompany, protect) those who will inherit salvation? [Of course they are!]
Hebrews 1:13-14 New Living Translation (NLT)
And God never said to any of the angels, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.” Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.
Hebrews 1:13-14 The Passion Translation (TPT)
And God has never said this to any of his angels: “Take your seat next to me at my right hand until I force your whispering enemies to be a rug under your feet.” What role then, do the angels have? The angels are spirit-messengers sent by God to serve those who are going to be saved.
