Mathew 3:11-17
Mathew 3:11-17 Beibl Cymraeg Newydd Diwygiedig 2004 (BCND)
Yr wyf fi yn eich bedyddio â dŵr i edifeirwch; ond y mae'r hwn sydd yn dod ar f'ôl i yn gryfach na mi, un nad wyf fi'n deilwng i gario'i sandalau. Bydd ef yn eich bedyddio â'r Ysbryd Glân ac â thân. Y mae ei wyntyll yn barod yn ei law, a bydd yn nithio'n lân yr hyn a ddyrnwyd, ac yn casglu ei rawn i'r ysgubor. Ond am yr us, bydd yn llosgi hwnnw â thân anniffoddadwy.” Yna daeth Iesu o Galilea i'r Iorddonen at Ioan i'w fedyddio ganddo. Ceisiodd Ioan ei rwystro, gan ddweud, “Myfi sydd ag angen fy medyddio gennyt ti, ac a wyt ti yn dod ataf fi?” Meddai Iesu wrtho, “Gad i hyn fod yn awr, oherwydd fel hyn y mae'n weddus i ni gyflawni popeth y mae cyfiawnder yn ei ofyn.” Yna gadodd Ioan iddo ddod. Bedyddiwyd Iesu, ac yna, pan gododd allan o'r dŵr, dyma'r nefoedd yn agor iddo, a gwelodd Ysbryd Duw yn disgyn fel colomen ac yn dod arno. A dyma lais o'r nefoedd yn dweud, “Hwn yw fy Mab, yr Anwylyd; ynddo ef yr wyf yn ymhyfrydu.”

“Dŵr dw i’n ei ddefnyddio i’ch bedyddio chi, fel arwydd eich bod chi’n troi at Dduw. Ond ar fy ôl i mae un llawer mwy grymus na fi yn dod – fyddwn i ddim digon da i fod yn gaethwas iddo hyd yn oed, i gario ei sandalau. Bydd hwnnw yn eich bedyddio chi gyda’r Ysbryd Glân a gyda thân. Mae ganddo fforch nithio yn ei law i wahanu’r grawn a’r us. Bydd yn clirio’r llawr dyrnu, yn casglu ei wenith i’r ysgubor ac yn llosgi’r us mewn tân sydd byth yn diffodd.” Bryd hynny daeth Iesu o Galilea at afon Iorddonen i gael ei fedyddio gan Ioan. Ond ceisiodd Ioan ei rwystro. Meddai wrtho, “Fi ddylai gael fy medyddio gen ti! Pam wyt ti’n dod ata i?” Atebodd Iesu, “Gwna beth dw i’n ei ofyn; dyma sy’n iawn i’w wneud.” Felly cytunodd Ioan i’w fedyddio. Ar ôl cael ei fedyddio, yr eiliad y daeth allan o’r dŵr, dyma’r awyr yn rhwygo’n agored, a gwelodd Ysbryd Duw yn dod i lawr fel colomen ac yn glanio arno. A dyma lais o’r nefoedd yn dweud: “Hwn ydy fy Mab annwyl i; mae wedi fy mhlesio i’n llwyr.”
Mathew 3:11-17 Beibl William Morgan - Argraffiad 1955 (BWM)
Myfi yn ddiau ydwyf yn eich bedyddio chwi â dwfr i edifeirwch: eithr yr hwn sydd yn dyfod ar fy ôl i, sydd gryfach na myfi, yr hwn nid ydwyf deilwng i ddwyn ei esgidiau: efe a’ch bedyddia chwi â’r Ysbryd Glân, ac â thân. Yr hwn y mae ei wyntyll yn ei law, ac efe a lwyr lanha ei lawr dyrnu, ac a gasgl ei wenith i’w ysgubor; eithr yr us a lysg efe â thân anniffoddadwy. Yna y daeth yr Iesu o Galilea i’r Iorddonen at Ioan, i’w fedyddio ganddo. Eithr Ioan a warafunodd iddo ef, gan ddywedyd, Y mae arnaf fi eisiau fy medyddio gennyt ti, ac a ddeui di ataf fi? Ond yr Iesu a atebodd ac a ddywedodd wrtho ef, Gad yr awr hon; canys fel hyn y mae’n weddus inni gyflawni pob cyfiawnder. Yna efe a adawodd iddo. A’r Iesu, wedi ei fedyddio, a aeth yn y fan i fyny o’r dwfr: ac wele, y nefoedd a agorwyd iddo, ac efe a welodd Ysbryd Duw yn disgyn fel colomen, ac yn dyfod arno ef. Ac wele lef o’r nefoedd, yn dywedyd, Hwn yw fy annwyl Fab, yn yr hwn y’m bodlonwyd.
