The Aetherlight Episode 2 Family Planنموونە
Man Down!
Encountering God is not something to take lightly, as any of the Biblical characters' lives will attest. These events are always transforming and often traumatic. When we approach the opportunities we have to encounter God - in the Word, in community, in prayer and worship - are we conscious of that possibility? Do we try to limit it? Why?
Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage:
After wrestling with God, Jacob is wounded and still has to meet Esau. If anything, you could argue he was less ready than ever for that encounter. Yet God says Jacob 'won.' What did he win? Given the outcome, would you have wrestled to win or thrown the fight? If Jesus is where God and humanity ultimately meet, how has He 'tagged in' to this fight for us?
Something to talk about with players of The Aetherlight:
When the Scarlet Man wrestles with Julian during the race, Julian is injured, but everyone on board the Copper Petal is saved. It might be a good point to talk about 'growing pains,' and God's ultimate purposes in our lives and world being bigger than our immediate comfort.

About this Plan
The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance is an exciting new steampunk game with a difference - It's an allegory of God’s amazing story in Scripture! Episode 2 continues the story of the fledgling Resistance, and the call to restore Aethasia under the guidance of the Scarlet Man. These studies help players who have joined the Resistance tie the game and the Bible together so they can grow in their part in God's story.
