6 Things Christians Should Do With Moneyنموونە
Day 3: Enjoy Your Money
“As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.”
God created us to glorify and worship Him by enjoying Him forever. We enjoy Him by enjoying the things He has given us.
If you eat a great, perfectly seasoned, and grilled steak and you thank Him for giving you the taste buds to enjoy the flavors – that is worship!
God gives us money to enjoy as well. Use it to glorify Him by enjoying what He’s given you, and always remember Him as the source!
I have three children. If I give them gifts at Christmas, it is of no value to them or me if they feel bad for receiving the gift and therefore don’t play with it or use it. However, it brings me so much joy when I give them a gift of something they want or need and get much use out of.
I believe it is the same with God. All the gifts He has given, whether spiritual or natural, are to be enjoyed with a grateful heart.
Let’s pray: God, I want to take a minute to say thank you. Thank you for everything you have given me. Thank you for life, thank you for every bit of food I have ever eaten. Thank you for your grace that has gotten me this far and grace that will continue. Let all my life be worship to you. Help me to enjoy all the things you have richly provided me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
