How To Get What You Don't Deserveنموونە
Saving Grace
Remember how grace is getting something good that you don’t deserve? Well that’s what is happening here in today’s Bible reading.
It is by God’s grace that you have been saved. You didn’t do anything to earn it, you aren’t good enough to deserve it, you don’t have to work for it or buy it. All you have to do is accept it, receive it, and then it’s yours.
It’s like getting a gift. Someone else buys it, and then they give it to you. It becomes yours when you accept it gift as your own. You don’t have to pay for it or work for it. That—by definition—is what a gift is.
And God’s gift to you, and to everyone, is saving grace.
If you accept that Jesus died on the cross for you and your sins, you’re no longer guilty of those sins. You can live in the freedom of knowing that God paid the ultimate price for your sin through giving His son.
You don’t need to just know the facts in your head about how Jesus died for you. You need to feel it, experience it, and accept it so that you can live the way God has intended for you to live.
