Longing for Heaven
Hebrews 11:16
“They were longing for a better country, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.”
What location are we longing for as a home?
What neighborhood or region or even country do we long to live in?
When you long for something you dream about it, you talk about it, you might even strategize or make plans to go there. Heaven is no different. God will welcome those who long for heaven and have accepted His Son’s invitation to join Him there. Those who long for heaven evidence that by living by faith now. They are citizens of heaven now. They live under the authority of the King of Kings now. By faith, they know where they are going – by faith.
Lord Jesus, strengthen my faith so that I can bring you glory through how I live today and each day.
