Romans 5:4
Romans 5:4 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope
Romans 5:3-5 The Message (MSG)
There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
Romans 5:4 King James Version (KJV)
and patience, experience; and experience, hope
Romans 5:4 New Century Version (NCV)
And patience produces character, and character produces hope.
Romans 5:4 American Standard Version (ASV)
and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hope
Romans 5:4 New International Version (NIV)
perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Romans 5:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Romans 5:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)
and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation].
Romans 5:4 New Living Translation (NLT)
And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
