Luke 9:27
Luke 9:27 New International Version (NIV)
“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:23-27 The Message (MSG)
Then he told them what they could expect for themselves: “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat—I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you? If any of you is embarrassed with me and the way I’m leading you, know that the Son of Man will be far more embarrassed with you when he arrives in all his splendor in company with the Father and the holy angels. This isn’t, you realize, pie in the sky by and by. Some who have taken their stand right here are going to see it happen, see with their own eyes the kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:27 King James Version (KJV)
But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:27 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:27 New Century Version (NCV)
I tell you the truth, some people standing here will see the kingdom of God before they die.”
Luke 9:27 American Standard Version (ASV)
But I tell you of a truth, There are some of them that stand here, who shall in no wise taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:27 New King James Version (NKJV)
But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:27 Amplified Bible (AMP)
But I tell you truthfully, there are some among those standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”
Luke 9:27 New Living Translation (NLT)
I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God.”
