The Submitted Life
Our Savior is the model of the submitted life. And yet He functions with more dynamic authority and dominion than anyone in all history. Look at Him.
He stoops to a manger on earth, though rightfully the King of the Universe.
He accepts rejection without retaliating in kind.
He prays, “Father, not My will, but Yours be done.”
He accepts the slashing and spearing of His body, and says, “Father, forgive them, they don’t understand.”
He calls us to learn the spirit of submission, to let a grander power manifest through us—the power of love.
