Don't Give Upনমুনা
God has gifted Believers with spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities that will bring Him Glory; however, it’s up to us to surrender and fulfill His desires for our lives. To do this, we must begin to see ourselves as Christ sees us.
1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that God doesn’t see things as we do. He doesn’t judge outward appearances, but He looks at the heart. How you view yourself determines how far you will go in life. God made you the head and not the tail; above only, and not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13). You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are more than enough. You are beautiful, smart, strong, and—most of all—His! Don’t allow the world to ever make you feel less than His definition of you. You are a daughter of the King! You are loved and adored by Him.
Arise, walk boldly into your destiny and believe what Romans 8:30-31 states. Through your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, God declared you “not guilty,” filled you with His goodness, gave you right standing with Himself, and promised you His Glory. He is so evidently for you that nothing or no one can successfully be against you. There are plenty of opposing forces against you, as a Believer, but nothing can successfully overcome you. Be encouraged. You have the greatest leader on your side and through His strength and love, you can walk boldly against all the enemy’s attacks and know that you will not be defeated.
Prayer:
God, help me to see myself as you see me. Show me your plan and purpose for my life. Lead me. I will obey and glorify You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection:
Do you see yourself as God sees you? If not, what are some negative self-thought patterns that God is asking you to release? What is one thing you want to do/start this week to honor God and His purpose for your life?
