Welcome to a plan that is designed to go slower together. 

We wanted to take things slow to allow for better meditation - one chapter a day covering every major division of the Bible. We staggered the order as well in order to keep things fresh. We have chosen a book from the Torah, historical books, the poetic writings, and the Prophets from the Old Testament. And, in the New Testament we have a Gospel, Pauline epistle, Hebrews, and the Revelation.

Although filled with the sin, rebellion, and the chronic unfaithfulness of His people, God consistently demonstrates his covenantal faithfulness to bring about salvation and redemption for all who have faith in Him.

Shavuot ( shah-voo-ote ) is one of the seven biblically mandated feasts of Israel. There is to be a holy gathering and no regular work on this day. It is one of the three pilgrimage feasts commanded by God in Deuteronomy 16:16 in which all Jewish men were required to travel to Jerusalem to present their sacrifices to the priests for taking before the Lord.

The last chapter of Exodus ends with an interesting detail – Moses can’t enter the tent of meeting because it is filled with God’s glory. God’s presence is so holy that even Moses can’t come near! Therefore, God must sanctify Moses and His people for holiness, and this is what Leviticus is about. Leviticus means “And He Called”. God calls us to repentance and a lifelong journey of holiness.
