Romans 11:5
Romans 11:2-6 The Message (MSG)
Do you remember that time Elijah was agonizing over this same Israel and cried out in prayer? God, they murdered your prophets, They trashed your altars; I’m the only one left and now they’re after me! And do you remember God’s answer? I still have seven thousand who haven’t quit, Seven thousand who are loyal to the finish. It’s the same today. There’s a fiercely loyal minority still—not many, perhaps, but probably more than you think. They’re holding on, not because of what they think they’re going to get out of it, but because they’re convinced of God’s grace and purpose in choosing them. If they were only thinking of their own immediate self-interest, they would have left long ago.
Romans 11:5 King James Version (KJV)
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Romans 11:5 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice.
Romans 11:5 New Century Version (NCV)
It is the same now. There are a few people that God has chosen by his grace.
Romans 11:5 American Standard Version (ASV)
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Romans 11:5 New International Version (NIV)
So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
Romans 11:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Romans 11:5 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So too then, at the present time there has come to be a remnant [a small believing minority] according to God’s gracious choice.
Romans 11:5 New Living Translation (NLT)
It is the same today, for a few of the people of Israel have remained faithful because of God’s grace—his undeserved kindness in choosing them.
