Habakkuk 1:1-2
Habakkuk 1:1-2 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
The oracle which Habakkuk the prophet saw. How long, O LORD, will I call for help, And You will not hear? I cry out to You, “Violence!” Yet You do not save.
Habakkuk 1:1-4 The Message (MSG)
The problem as God gave Habakkuk to see it: GOD, how long do I have to cry out for help before you listen? How many times do I have to yell, “Help! Murder! Police!” before you come to the rescue? Why do you force me to look at evil, stare trouble in the face day after day? Anarchy and violence break out, quarrels and fights all over the place. Law and order fall to pieces. Justice is a joke. The wicked have the righteous hamstrung and stand justice on its head.
Habakkuk 1:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
Habakkuk 1:1-2 New Century Version (NCV)
This is the message Habakkuk the prophet received. LORD, how long must I ask for help and you ignore me? I cry out to you about violence, but you do not save us!
Habakkuk 1:1-2 American Standard Version (ASV)
The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. O Jehovah, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? I cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save.
Habakkuk 1:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
The prophecy that Habakkuk the prophet received. How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save?
Habakkuk 1:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)
The burden which the prophet Habakkuk saw. O LORD, how long shall I cry, And You will not hear? Even cry out to You, “Violence!” And You will not save.
Habakkuk 1:1-2 Amplified Bible (AMP)
