1 Corinthians 13:9-10
1 Corinthians 13:8-10 The Message (MSG)
Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 King James Version (KJV)
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 New Century Version (NCV)
The reason is that our knowledge and our ability to prophesy are not perfect. But when perfection comes, the things that are not perfect will end.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 American Standard Version (ASV)
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 New International Version (NIV)
For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)
For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete]. But when that which is complete and perfect comes, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away.
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 New Living Translation (NLT)
Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.
