“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, and do not let it be afraid.

Jesus said to him, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

“Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I told you.

The one who has my commands and holds on to them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father. I too will love him and show myself to him.”

I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. He is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see him or know him. You know him because he stays with you and will be in you.

I will do whatever you ask in my name so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.

“If you love me, hold on to my commands.

In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that you may also be where I am.

“Lord, we don't know where you are going,” Thomas replied, “so how can we know the way?”
