Psalms 69:30-33
Psalms 69:30-33 The Message (MSG)
Let me shout God’s name with a praising song, Let me tell his greatness in a prayer of thanks. For GOD, this is better than oxen on the altar, Far better than blue-ribbon bulls. The poor in spirit see and are glad— Oh, you God-seekers, take heart! For GOD listens to the poor, He doesn’t walk out on the wretched.
Psalms 69:30-33 King James Version (KJV)
I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD Better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The humble shall see this, and be glad: And your heart shall live that seek God. For the LORD heareth the poor, And despiseth not his prisoners.
Psalms 69:30-33 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
I will praise the name of God with song And magnify Him with thanksgiving. And it will please the LORD better than an ox Or a young bull with horns and hoofs. The humble have seen it and are glad; You who seek God, let your heart revive. For the LORD hears the needy And does not despise His who are prisoners.
Psalms 69:30-33 New Century Version (NCV)
I will praise God in a song and will honor him by giving thanks. That will please the LORD more than offering him cattle, more than sacrificing a bull with horns and hoofs. Poor people will see this and be glad. Be encouraged, you who worship God. The LORD listens to those in need and does not look down on captives.
Psalms 69:30-33 American Standard Version (ASV)
I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving. And it will please Jehovah better than an ox, Or a bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The meek have seen it, and are glad: Ye that seek after God, let your heart live. For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners.
Psalms 69:30-33 New International Version (NIV)
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This will please the LORD more than an ox, more than a bull with its horns and hooves. The poor will see and be glad— you who seek God, may your hearts live! The LORD hears the needy and does not despise his captive people.
Psalms 69:30-33 New King James Version (NKJV)
I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bull, Which has horns and hooves. The humble shall see this and be glad; And you who seek God, your hearts shall live. For the LORD hears the poor, And does not despise His prisoners.
Psalms 69:30-33 Amplified Bible (AMP)
I will praise the name of God with song And magnify Him with thanksgiving. And it will please the LORD better than an ox Or a young bull with horns and hoofs. The humble have seen it and are glad; You who seek God [requiring Him as your greatest need], let your heart revive and live. For the LORD hears the needy And does not despise His who are prisoners.
Psalms 69:30-33 New Living Translation (NLT)
Then I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving. For this will please the LORD more than sacrificing cattle, more than presenting a bull with its horns and hooves. The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged. For the LORD hears the cries of the needy; he does not despise his imprisoned people.
Psalms 69:30-33 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Then my song will be a burst of praise to you. My glory-shouts will make your fame even more glorious to all who hear my praises! For I know, YAHWEH, that my praises mean more to you than all my gifts and sacrifices. All who seek you will see God do this for them, and they’ll overflow with gladness. Let this revive your hearts, all you lovers of God! For YAHWEH does listen to the poor and needy and will not abandon his prisoners of love.
Psalms 69:30-33 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving. This will please the LORD more than an ox or a bull with horns and hoofs. When the humble see it they will be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive. For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.
