Psalms 36:3-4
Psalms 36:3-4 New Century Version (NCV)
Their words are wicked lies; they are no longer wise or good. At night they make evil plans; what they do leads to nothing good. They don’t refuse things that are evil.
Psalms 36:3-4 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Their wicked words are nothing but lies. Wisdom is far from them. Goodness is both forgotten and forsaken. They lie awake at night to hatch their evil plots, always planning their schemes of darkness, and never once do they consider the evil of their ways.
Psalms 36:1-4 The Message (MSG)
The God-rebel tunes in to sedition— all ears, eager to sin. He has no regard for God, he stands insolent before him. He has smooth-talked himself into believing That his evil will never be noticed. Words gutter from his mouth, dishwater dirty. Can’t remember when he did anything decent. Every time he goes to bed, he fathers another evil plot. When he’s loose on the streets, nobody’s safe. He plays with fire and doesn’t care who gets burned.
Psalms 36:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath left off to be wise, and to do good. He deviseth mischief upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.
Psalms 36:3-4 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good. He plans wickedness upon his bed; He sets himself on a path that is not good; He does not despise evil.
Psalms 36:3-4 American Standard Version (ASV)
The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath ceased to be wise and to do good. He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.
Psalms 36:3-4 New International Version (NIV)
The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good. Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.
Psalms 36:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV)
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good. He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil.
Psalms 36:3-4 Amplified Bible (AMP)
The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; He has ceased to be wise and to do good. He plans wrongdoing on his bed; He sets himself on a path that is not good; He does not reject or despise evil.
