Psalms 35:4
Psalms 35:4 New International Version (NIV)
May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay.
Psalms 35:4-8 The Message (MSG)
When those thugs try to knife me in the back, make them look foolish. Frustrate all those who are plotting my downfall. Make them like cinders in a high wind, with GOD’s angel working the bellows. Make their road lightless and mud-slick, with GOD’s angel on their tails. Out of sheer cussedness they set a trap to catch me; for no good reason they dug a ditch to stop me. Surprise them with your ambush— catch them in the very trap they set, the disaster they planned for me.
Psalms 35:4 King James Version (KJV)
Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: Let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
Psalms 35:4 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Let those be ashamed and dishonored who seek my life; Let those be turned back and humiliated who devise evil against me.
Psalms 35:4 New Century Version (NCV)
Make those who want to kill me be ashamed and disgraced. Make those who plan to harm me turn back and run away.
Psalms 35:4 American Standard Version (ASV)
Let them be put to shame and brought to dishonor that seek after my soul: Let them be turned back and confounded that devise my hurt.
Psalms 35:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor Who seek after my life; Let those be turned back and brought to confusion Who plot my hurt.
Psalms 35:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Let those be ashamed and dishonored who seek my life; Let those be turned back [in defeat] and humiliated who plot evil against me.
Psalms 35:4 New Living Translation (NLT)
Bring shame and disgrace on those trying to kill me; turn them back and humiliate those who want to harm me.
