Psalms 28:4-5
Psalms 28:3-5 The Message (MSG)
Don’t shove me into the same jail cell with those crooks, With those who are full-time employees of evil. They talk a good line of “peace,” then moonlight for the Devil. Pay them back for what they’ve done, for how bad they’ve been. Pay them back for their long hours in the Devil’s workshop; Then cap it with a huge bonus. Because they have no idea how God works or what he is up to, God will smash them to smithereens and walk away from the ruins.
Psalms 28:4-5 King James Version (KJV)
Give them according to their deeds, And according to the wickedness of their endeavours: Give them after the work of their hands; Render to them their desert. Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, He shall destroy them, and not build them up.
Psalms 28:4-5 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Requite them according to their work and according to the evil of their practices; Requite them according to the deeds of their hands; Repay them their recompense. Because they do not regard the works of the LORD Nor the deeds of His hands, He will tear them down and not build them up.
Psalms 28:4-5 New Century Version (NCV)
Pay them back for what they have done, for their evil deeds. Pay them back for what they have done; give them their reward. They don’t understand what the LORD has done or what he has made. So he will knock them down and not lift them up.
Psalms 28:4-5 American Standard Version (ASV)
Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their doings: Give them after the operation of their hands; Render to them their desert. Because they regard not the works of Jehovah, Nor the operation of his hands, He will break them down and not build them up.
Psalms 28:4-5 New International Version (NIV)
Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back on them what they deserve. Because they have no regard for the deeds of the LORD and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again.
Psalms 28:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV)
Give them according to their deeds, And according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve. Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, Nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them And not build them up.
Psalms 28:4-5 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Repay them according to their work and according to the evil of their practices; Repay them according to the deeds of their hands; Repay them what they deserve. [2 Tim 4:14; Rev 18:6] Because they have no regard for the works of the LORD Nor the deeds of His hands, He will tear them down and not rebuild them.
Psalms 28:4-5 New Living Translation (NLT)
Give them the punishment they so richly deserve! Measure it out in proportion to their wickedness. Pay them back for all their evil deeds! Give them a taste of what they have done to others. They care nothing for what the LORD has done or for what his hands have made. So he will tear them down, and they will never be rebuilt!
Psalms 28:4-5 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Go ahead and punish them as they deserve. Let them be paid back for all their evil plans in proportion to their wickedness. Since they don’t care anything about you, or understand the great things you’ve done, take them down like an old building being demolished, never again to be rebuilt.
Psalms 28:4-5 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward. Because they do not regard the works of the LORD or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and build them up no more.
