Psalms 144:5-10
Psalms 144:5-10 King James Version (KJV)
Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: Shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them. Send thine hand from above; Rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; Whose mouth speaketh vanity, And their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: Upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: Who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
Psalms 144:5-10 New International Version (NIV)
Part your heavens, LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke. Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy; shoot your arrows and rout them. Reach down your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from the mighty waters, from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful. I will sing a new song to you, my God; on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you, to the One who gives victory to kings, who delivers his servant David.
Psalms 144:5-10 New Living Translation (NLT)
Open the heavens, LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains so they billow smoke. Hurl your lightning bolts and scatter your enemies! Shoot your arrows and confuse them! Reach down from heaven and rescue me; rescue me from deep waters, from the power of my enemies. Their mouths are full of lies; they swear to tell the truth, but they lie instead. I will sing a new song to you, O God! I will sing your praises with a ten-stringed harp. For you grant victory to kings! You rescued your servant David from the fatal sword.
Psalms 144:5-10 The Message (MSG)
Step down out of heaven, GOD; ignite volcanoes in the hearts of the mountains. Hurl your lightnings in every direction; shoot your arrows this way and that. Reach all the way from sky to sea: pull me out of the ocean of hate, out of the grip of those barbarians Who lie through their teeth, who shake your hand then knife you in the back. O God, let me sing a new song to you, let me play it on a twelve-string guitar— A song to the God who saved the king, the God who rescued David, his servant.
Psalms 144:5-10 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Bow Your heavens, O LORD, and come down; Touch the mountains, that they may smoke. Flash forth lightning and scatter them; Send out Your arrows and confuse them. Stretch forth Your hand from on high; Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, Out of the hand of aliens Whose mouths speak deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. I will sing a new song to You, O God; Upon a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You, Who gives salvation to kings, Who rescues David His servant from the evil sword.
Psalms 144:5-10 New Century Version (NCV)
LORD, tear open the sky and come down. Touch the mountains so they will smoke. Send the lightning and scatter my enemies. Shoot your arrows and force them away. Reach down from above. Save me and rescue me out of this sea of enemies, from these foreigners. They are liars; they are dishonest. God, I will sing a new song to you; I will play to you on the ten-stringed harp. You give victory to kings. You save your servant David from cruel swords.

¶Bow Your heavens, O LORD, and come down; Touch the mountains, and they will smoke. Flash lightning and scatter my enemies; Send out Your arrows and confuse and embarrass and frustrate them. Stretch out Your hand from above; Set me free and rescue me from great waters, Out of the hands of [hostile] foreigners [who surround us] Whose mouths speak deceit [without restraint], And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. ¶I will sing a new song to You, O God; Upon a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You, Who gives salvation to kings, Who sets David His servant free from the evil sword.
Psalms 144:5-10 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Step down from heaven, Lord, and come down! Make the mountains melt at your touch. Loose your fiery lightning flashes and scatter your enemies. Overthrow them with your terrifying judgments. Reach down from your heavens and rescue me from this hell and deliver me from these dark powers. They speak nothing but lies; their words are pure deceit. Nothing they say can ever be trusted. My God, I will sing you a brand-new song! The harp inside my heart will make music to you! I will sing of you, the one who gives victory to kings— the one who rescues David, your loving servant, from the fatal sword.

Bow your heavens, O LORD, and come down! Touch the mountains so that they smoke! Flash forth the lightning and scatter them; send out your arrows and rout them! Stretch out your hand from on high; rescue me and deliver me from the many waters, from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. I will sing a new song to you, O God; upon a ten-stringed harp I will play to you, who gives victory to kings, who rescues David his servant from the cruel sword.
