Proverbs 13:22-23
Proverbs 13:22-23 The Message (MSG)
A good life gets passed on to the grandchildren; ill-gotten wealth ends up with good people. Banks foreclose on the farms of the poor, or else the poor lose their shirts to crooked lawyers.
Proverbs 13:22-23 King James Version (KJV)
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Much food is in the tillage of the poor: But there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.
Proverbs 13:22-23 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. Abundant food is in the fallow ground of the poor, But it is swept away by injustice.
Proverbs 13:22-23 New Century Version (NCV)
Good people leave their wealth to their grandchildren, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for good people. A poor person’s field might produce plenty of food, but others often steal it away.
Proverbs 13:22-23 American Standard Version (ASV)
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children; And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous. Much food is in the tillage of the poor; But there is that is destroyed by reason of injustice.

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor, And for lack of justice there is waste.
Proverbs 13:22-23 Amplified Bible (AMP)
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for [the hands of] the righteous. Abundant food is in the fallow (uncultivated) ground of the poor, But [without protection] it is swept away by injustice.
Proverbs 13:22-23 New Living Translation (NLT)
Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly. A poor person’s farm may produce much food, but injustice sweeps it all away.
Proverbs 13:22-23 The Passion Translation (TPT)
The benevolent man leaves an inheritance that endures to his children’s children, but the wealth of the wicked is treasured up for the righteous. The lovers of God will live a long life and get to enjoy their wealth, but the ungodly will suddenly perish.
