Jeremiah 6:28
Jeremiah 6:27-30 The Message (MSG)
GOD gave me this task: “I have made you the examiner of my people, to examine and weigh their lives. They’re a thickheaded, hard-nosed bunch, rotten to the core, the lot of them. Refining fires are cranked up to white heat, but the ore stays a lump, unchanged. It’s useless to keep trying any longer. Nothing can refine evil out of them. Men will give up and call them ‘slag,’ thrown on the slag heap by me, their GOD.”
Jeremiah 6:28 King James Version (KJV)
They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
Jeremiah 6:28 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
All of them are stubbornly rebellious, Going about as a talebearer. They are bronze and iron; They, all of them, are corrupt.
Jeremiah 6:28 New Century Version (NCV)
All my people have turned against me and are stubborn. They go around telling lies about others. They are like bronze and iron that became covered with rust. They all act dishonestly.
Jeremiah 6:28 American Standard Version (ASV)
They are all grievous revolters, going about with slanders; they are brass and iron: they all of them deal corruptly.
Jeremiah 6:28 New International Version (NIV)
They are all hardened rebels, going about to slander. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly.
Jeremiah 6:28 New King James Version (NKJV)
They are all stubborn rebels, walking as slanderers. They are bronze and iron, They are all corrupters
Jeremiah 6:28 Amplified Bible (AMP)
They are all the worst [kind] of [stiff-necked, godless] rebels, Going around spreading slander. They are [not gold and silver ore, but] bronze and iron; They are all corrupt.
Jeremiah 6:28 New Living Translation (NLT)
They are the worst kind of rebel, full of slander. They are as hard as bronze and iron, and they lead others into corruption.
