Isaiah 26:10
Isaiah 26:7-10 The Message (MSG)
The path of right-living people is level. The Leveler evens the road for the right-living. We’re in no hurry, GOD. We’re content to linger in the path sign-posted with your decisions. Who you are and what you’ve done are all we’ll ever want. Through the night my soul longs for you. Deep from within me my spirit reaches out to you. When your decisions are on public display, everyone learns how to live right. If the wicked are shown grace, they don’t seem to get it. In the land of right living, they persist in wrong living, blind to the splendor of GOD.
Isaiah 26:10 King James Version (KJV)
Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
Isaiah 26:10 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the LORD.
Isaiah 26:10 New Century Version (NCV)
Evil people will not learn to do good even if you show them kindness. They will continue doing evil, even if they live in a good world; they never see the LORD’s greatness.
Isaiah 26:10 American Standard Version (ASV)
Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah.
Isaiah 26:10 New International Version (NIV)
But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the LORD.
Isaiah 26:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
Let grace be shown to the wicked, Yet he will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, And will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
Isaiah 26:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Though the wicked is shown compassion and favor, He does not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness he deals unjustly, And refuses to see the majesty of the LORD.
Isaiah 26:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
Your kindness to the wicked does not make them do good. Although others do right, the wicked keep doing wrong and take no notice of the LORD’s majesty.
