Hosea 7:9-10
Hosea 7:9-10 New Living Translation (NLT)
Worshiping foreign gods has sapped their strength, but they don’t even know it. Their hair is gray, but they don’t realize they’re old and weak. Their arrogance testifies against them, yet they don’t return to the LORD their God or even try to find him.
Hosea 7:8-10 The Message (MSG)
“Ephraim mingles with the pagans, dissipating himself. Ephraim is half-baked. Strangers suck him dry but he doesn’t even notice. His hair has turned gray— he doesn’t notice. Bloated by arrogance, big as a house, Israel’s a public disgrace. Israel lumbers along oblivious to GOD, despite all the signs, ignoring GOD.
Hosea 7:9-10 King James Version (KJV)
Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
Hosea 7:9-10 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Strangers devour his strength, Yet he does not know it; Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know it. Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet they have not returned to the LORD their God, Nor have they sought Him, for all this.
Hosea 7:9-10 New Century Version (NCV)
Foreign nations have eaten up his strength, but he doesn’t know it. Israel is weak and feeble, like an old man, but he doesn’t know it. Israel’s pride will cause their defeat; they will not turn back to the LORD their God or look to him for help in all this.
Hosea 7:9-10 American Standard Version (ASV)
Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, and he knoweth it not. And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: yet they have not returned unto Jehovah their God, nor sought him, for all this.
Hosea 7:9-10 New International Version (NIV)
Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice. Israel’s arrogance testifies against him, but despite all this he does not return to the LORD his God or search for him.
Hosea 7:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)
Aliens have devoured his strength, But he does not know it; Yes, gray hairs are here and there on him, Yet he does not know it. And the pride of Israel testifies to his face, But they do not return to the LORD their God, Nor seek Him for all this.
Hosea 7:9-10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Strangers have devoured his strength, Yet he does not know it; Gray hairs are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know.
