Hosea 7:8-9
Hosea 7:8-10 The Message (MSG)
“Ephraim mingles with the pagans, dissipating himself. Ephraim is half-baked. Strangers suck him dry but he doesn’t even notice. His hair has turned gray— he doesn’t notice. Bloated by arrogance, big as a house, Israel’s a public disgrace. Israel lumbers along oblivious to GOD, despite all the signs, ignoring GOD.
Hosea 7:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.
Hosea 7:8-9 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Ephraim mixes himself with the nations; Ephraim has become a cake not turned. Strangers devour his strength, Yet he does not know it; Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know it.
Hosea 7:8-9 New Century Version (NCV)
“Israel mixes with other nations; he is like a pancake cooked only on one side. Foreign nations have eaten up his strength, but he doesn’t know it. Israel is weak and feeble, like an old man, but he doesn’t know it.
Hosea 7:8-9 American Standard Version (ASV)
Ephraim, he mixeth himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, and he knoweth it not.

Hosea 7:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)
“Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake unturned. Aliens have devoured his strength, But he does not know it; Yes, gray hairs are here and there on him, Yet he does not know it.
Hosea 7:8-9 Amplified Bible (AMP)
¶Ephraim mixes himself with the [Gentile] nations [seeking favor with one country, then another]; Ephraim is a cake not turned [worthless; ready to be thrown away]. Strangers have devoured his strength, Yet he does not know it; Gray hairs are sprinkled on him, Yet he does not know.
Hosea 7:8-9 New Living Translation (NLT)
“The people of Israel mingle with godless foreigners, making themselves as worthless as a half-baked cake! Worshiping foreign gods has sapped their strength, but they don’t even know it. Their hair is gray, but they don’t realize they’re old and weak.
