Hebrews 7:7
Hebrews 7:4-7 The Message (MSG)
You realize just how great Melchizedek is when you see that Father Abraham gave him a tenth of the captured treasure. Priests descended from Levi are commanded by law to collect tithes from the people, even though they are all more or less equals, priests and people, having a common father in Abraham. But this man, a complete outsider, collected tithes from Abraham and blessed him, the one to whom the promises had been given. In acts of blessing, the lesser is blessed by the greater.
Hebrews 7:7 King James Version (KJV)
And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
Hebrews 7:7 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.
Hebrews 7:7 New Century Version (NCV)
Now everyone knows that the more important person blesses the less important person.
Hebrews 7:7 American Standard Version (ASV)
But without any dispute the less is blessed of the better.
Hebrews 7:7 New International Version (NIV)
And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater.
Hebrews 7:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better.
Hebrews 7:7 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Yet it is beyond all dispute that the lesser person is always blessed by the greater one.
Hebrews 7:7 New Living Translation (NLT)
And without question, the person who has the power to give a blessing is greater than the one who is blessed.
