Genesis 32:21 The Message (MSG)

So his gifts went before him while he settled down for the night in the camp.

So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.

So the present passed on before him, while he himself spent that night in the camp.

So Jacob sent the gifts to Esau, but he himself stayed that night in the camp.
