Ecclesiastes 7:19-22
Ecclesiastes 7:19-22 The Message (MSG)
Wisdom puts more strength in one wise person Than ten strong men give to a city. There’s not one totally good person on earth, Not one who is truly pure and sinless. Don’t eavesdrop on the conversation of others. What if the gossip’s about you and you’d rather not hear it? You’ve done that a few times, haven’t you—said things Behind someone’s back you wouldn’t say to his face?
Ecclesiastes 7:19-22 King James Version (KJV)
Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city. For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: for oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.
Ecclesiastes 7:19-22 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Wisdom strengthens a wise man more than ten rulers who are in a city. Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins. Also, do not take seriously all words which are spoken, so that you will not hear your servant cursing you. For you also have realized that you likewise have many times cursed others.
Ecclesiastes 7:19-22 New Century Version (NCV)
Wisdom makes a person stronger than ten leaders in a city. Surely there is not a good person on earth who always does good and never sins. Don’t listen to everything people say, or you might hear your servant insulting you. You know that many times you have insulted others.
