Ecclesiastes 3:13
Ecclesiastes 3:9-13 The Message (MSG)
But in the end, does it really make a difference what anyone does? I’ve had a good look at what God has given us to do—busywork, mostly. True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time—but he’s left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether he’s coming or going. I’ve decided that there’s nothing better to do than go ahead and have a good time and get the most we can out of life. That’s it—eat, drink, and make the most of your job. It’s God’s gift.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 King James Version (KJV)
And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—it is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 New Century Version (NCV)
God wants all people to eat and drink and be happy in their work, which are gifts from God.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 American Standard Version (ASV)
And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 New International Version (NIV)
That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 New King James Version (NKJV)
and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 3:13 Amplified Bible (AMP)
and also that every man should eat and drink and see and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
