When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit

Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit

When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had accepted God’s message, they sent Peter and John there. As soon as they arrived, they prayed for these new believers to receive the Holy Spirit.

When the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.  After they went down there, they prayed for them so that the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit because he had not yet come down on any of them.

Then the apostles laid their hands on them and they did receive the Holy Spirit.
