1 Corinthians 1:24
1 Corinthians 1:24 New International Version (NIV)
but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:22-25 The Message (MSG)
While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for philosophical wisdom, we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified. Jews treat this like an anti-miracle—and Greeks pass it off as absurd. But to us who are personally called by God himself—both Jews and Greeks—Christ is God’s ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped up in one. Human wisdom is so cheap, so impotent, next to the seeming absurdity of God. Human strength can’t begin to compete with God’s “weakness.”
1 Corinthians 1:24 King James Version (KJV)
but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:24 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:24 New Century Version (NCV)
But Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God to those people God has called—Jews and Greeks.
1 Corinthians 1:24 American Standard Version (ASV)
but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:24 New King James Version (NKJV)
but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:24 Amplified Bible (AMP)
but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks (Gentiles), Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. [Rom 8:28]
1 Corinthians 1:24 New Living Translation (NLT)
But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
