But I almost slipped and lost my balance. I almost fell into sin. I saw that wicked people were successful, and I became jealous of those proud people. They are healthy. They don’t have to struggle to survive. They don’t suffer like the rest of us. They don’t have troubles like other people. So they are proud and hateful. This is as easy to see as the jewels and fancy clothes they wear. If they see something they like, they go and take it. They do whatever they want. They make fun of others and say cruel things about them. In their pride they make plans to hurt people. They think they are gods! They think they are the rulers of the earth.

This 4-day Bible plan on envy, inspired by Psalm 73, explores how envy can erode our contentment, lead us to moral compromise, and damage our relationship with God. The psalmist’s journey, marked by internal struggles and doubts, reveals timeless insights for us today: true fulfillment isn't found in comparing ourselves with others but in delighting in God's presence and trusting His provision. As we walk through these reflections, we'll see how embracing an eternal perspective and treasuring our relationship with God can guard our hearts against envy, leading us to lasting contentment and peace.

Looking for purpose? There's one thing keeping you from it: yourself. We create roadblocks from our past. In return, our purpose is flawed from the beginning. But like a mosaic, your purpose is made from the broken pieces. In the Makers & Monsters Devotional Plan, Josh White takes us through the story of David, and how "the man after God's own heart" was also flawed, yet so close to Jesus.
