Titus letter 1
1
1Paul, a servant of Hashem and a Shliach of Yehoshua the Moshiach, according to the faith of the chosen of Hashem, and the knowledge of the truth, which is according to fearer of heaven, 2in the hope in eternal life, which Hashem, who says not any lie, has promised from eternal times onwards, 3and in the appropriate time revealed His word in the preaching, which is to me entrusted was according to a command of Hashem our Savior— 4to Titus, my true son according to our mutual faith: grace and peace from G-d the Father and Moshiach Yehoshua our Savior.
5therefore did I you leave in Crete, so that you (SG) shall set in order, what is lacking still, and appoint elders in every city, as I have you (SG) ordered; 6if one is without a flaw, the husband of one wife, has faithful children, whom one accuses not of debauchery, or disobedience. 7because the overseer must be without a flaw, as Hashem's steward; not stubborn, not any quick-tempered, not any drunkard, not any fighter, not inclined to shameful (money) gain; 8but a bringing in stranger, who has love (for) the good, with authority over self, a righteous person, a holy one, 9who holds himself by the faithful word according to the doctrine, so that he shall be able both exhort to do in the healthy doctrine, also to speak reproving to the gainsayer.
10because are there a many rebellious, babblers and deceivers, mainly those of the circumcision, 11whom one must clog up the mouth; who turn over entire households and teach what (is) fit not on account of shameful (money) gain. 12one of them, their own prophet, did say: the Cretans are always liars, brutes vicious, lazy gluttons. 13the this witness say is true. on account of this reason shall you (SG) them sharply speak reproof, so that they shall be sound in the faith, 14and themselves not hold to Jewish legends and commands of men, who turn away from the truth. 15for the pure (people) is all pure; for those however, who are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but their understanding and conscience is defiled. 16they say, that they know Hashem, denying him however with their deeds, being unworthy and rebellious and who fit not for any in no way deeds good.
