I heard his answer, but it was like a riddle to me. So, I asked him, “Sir, how will all of this transpire?” “You may go in peace, Daniel,” he replied. “The understanding of this message is to remain secret and sealed until the time of the end. God will purify many people and make them clean and spotless, while the wicked will continue doing what is wicked. This revelation will remain a riddle to the wicked, but those who are wise will have profound understanding. “Between the end of the continual burnt offering and the abomination that brings destruction will be 1,290 days. “Blessed are those who wait and faithfully endure to the end of the 1,335 days. As for you, be at peace and rest; and you will rise for your reward at the end of the age.”
