Nehemiah 6:15-19

There comes a time in our journey of walking in our assignment when we have to make a decision. We have to decide if the opposition is going to be an opportunity or an excuse. In this devotional, we will walk through what it takes to fulfill your assignment so that you can accomplish the greater purpose to which you have been created.

The book of Nehemiah contains loads of wisdom for our work. In this five-day plan, we’ll examine five passages from this book that show us how we can “pray without ceasing” at work, which type of work is “God’s work,” how to “trust God and get going,” how to confront the darkness we see in our workplaces, and how excellent work can lead others to worship the one true God!

The book of Nehemiah shows us how the Lord can impact a nation through the prayers, perseverance and spiritual grit of one leader whose heart is aligned with God’s. Nehemiah modeled for us the characteristics of a Godly visionary and leader, successfully leading the people in the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem. Nehemiah was a man of prayer, vision, perseverance, strategy, and courage.
