For you have heard about my former way of life in Judaism: I intensely persecuted God’s church and tried to destroy it. Nothing keeps us in bondage to the past as much as our unwillingness to forgive. Refusal to forgive leads to bitterness of the soul. Forgiveness is freedom from bitterness and the propensity to get even. It reopens the future of new beginnings – a restart.
