We make plans for almost every area of our life—except where it matters most. As followers of Christ, we have an enemy who wants to steal, kill, and destroy, but God gave us the power to fight back. With God’s help, we can build a strategy to win over the warfare we face. This plan will give you new tools against the enemy’s attacks, preparing you for what’s ahead!

Routes to progress and success often take detours. Never is there a straight path toward either of them. And in those unscheduled stops and perceived pauses, that’s where “progress” is thwarted — I call these moments, Crushing moments. They seek to threaten and destroy our journey from what we’ve determined is our destination. But crushing moments are never truly the end. Rather, the crushing becomes the creation of something new. They reveal there is more to our lives than what we had planned.

In the middle of the trials or uncomfortable circumstances, it’s so hard to sit still and wait for God’s direction. We often want to control the outcome, run or fast-forward to get to the other side. But what if the biggest blessing was in the waiting?

The book of First Samuel records the story of Hannah, an Israelite woman. Her life circumstances were humiliating and demoralizing. But the Bible pictures her as an exemplary, God-fearing woman. This reading plan takes Hannah’s life story as an example for our own lives. Do read with us!
