When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome purchased [sweet-smelling] spices, so that they might go and anoint Him. [Matt 28:1-8; Luke 24:1-10; John 20:1-8] Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.
